After a lot of thought and research I decided on a challenge for this year. My plan is to draw every full moon – they all have names founded in nature to represent and symbolise the seasons. January’s moon is commonly known as the Wolf Moon, so this was my first challenge.
My first draft was a sketch in my sketchbook which I painted… but wasn’t happy with it…
So I re-drew the design, and painted in watercolour, and used calligraphy and silver ink for the ‘Wolf Moon’…
Splattered some silver ink for stars, and outlined and detailed with black ink.
