These projects were created during my Master’s degree.
TRANQUIL
I had to go somewhere in my local area and choose a word to describe how I feel. I then designed a piece to convey the message of that word, in that context – I wrote the word across stones and placed them in the stream, and went back a few weeks later to film the stream as it trickled over the stones.
A LOVE LETTER TO THE SEA
I wanted to make a typographic film version of an essay, entitled “A Love Letter to the Sea”. The essay was about my love for open water swimming, and the benefits to both my physical and mental health and my community. These are brief scenes that I mocked up for the project, and I am hoping to make an entire short film based on the essay over the next year.
